Ideas of blurred points of light filtering through foliage recall the flickering light filtering through foliage recall the flickering light on a pond’s water surface. These points are used as activators of peripheral vision in the moments of perception. The perspective of looking through landscape to horizons has changed. Looking down into water surfaces and the space that exits above and below the surface in both canvas and water, into the microscopic mental space of axons and neurons, the depiction of which is uniquely special to painting.
